'Steel Roses'
This nuno felted scarf is a combination of silk and merino wool bonded together through the felting process. Where the wool shrinks it pulls the silk in causing it to crinkle and create and become textured.
I hand dyed the silk which is a lovely steely blue / grey. It has pale blue and denim coloured wool decoration in the shape of a circular rose. There are nine motifs on each side of the scarf
I've hand sewn sequins to each end and both sides of the scarf for that little bit of sparkle.
