I’ve never done this before but this year I felt as though I’ve had very little time for creativity and felt making, so thought that I should look through my blog and see if it’s been as dire as I feared.
This was last January and I could have sworn it was longer ago than that. I love this wreath and it’s always on display even when it’s not on the door.
I had completely forgotten my hat obsession of last February!
March was a busy month for workshops.
My interpretation of a photo in felt in April. That was a fun exercise.
May saw me running workshops, dyeing, washing fleece, running a wool fair and I still found time to make this nuno scarf.
In June I joined Metaphor, played with patterns and made this wallhanging.
Remember the great skirt remodelling? Started in July and finished in August plus I had time to crochet this coastal themed cushion.
It won first in the Ilkley Flower Show and August was also the month that I knitted my first shawl on circular needles using my own handspun yarn.
Very busy with workshops in September including hidden texture bags.
I so enjoyed making this bag in October plus I did quite a good job of icing my Daughtrer’s birthday cake!
Extremely happy, even now, with my Remembrance Day poppy runner in November.
My favourite felt pieces from December.
There were more creative times than I remember but not nearly as many as I would have liked. 2014 felt like a very hard year for me, dealing with the death of my Mum and working far too hard. This year I have every intention of it being more balanced, having time to make more and to share my activities with you.
