I've been fascinated with feltmaking for over 15 years, I love teaching and sharing my skill and I hope that you'll come along to a felt workshop and catch the bug. So many things to make and all from the one material!
I will be running a small number of workshops each year organised by me and held locally (West Yorkshire). To make sure you know about them I suggest you join my mailing list as that and Facebook will be the main method I’ll use to notify people that they’re happening.
In addition you can book me to deliver a workshop for: your group e.g. guild or society, your school e.g. secondary up to AS level and experience of teaching the teachers and for small groups of friends (max. 4) at my home studio or even at your home (numbers dependent upon space available).
Please contact me by email or on 07745 160090.
Here are some of the workshops I could deliver, these and more are open to discussion and negotiation depending upon your needs.
Nuno – the combining of fabric and wool through the felting process. It can be applied to 2D or 3D work e.g. scarves, wraps, wrist warmers, cushions, pictures
3D – pots, handbags, pods, phone covers, small purses, they all start with the same simple process, using a resist.
Felt and Stitch – particularly effective on items like: book covers and wall hangings to bring a little low relief and added interest to your work.
Wreath workshop – not just for Christmas! Spring, autumn, summer, poppy, themed wreath e.g. beach, halloween.
Recycling and felt – ways to incorporate found objects, repurpose old ones and recycle those half finished experiments languishing at the back of a cupboard.
Mixed textile – incorporating fabrics, weaving, crochet or knitting
