Feltmaking Workshop Dates 2011/12

I've been fascinated with feltmaking for quite some time and I hope that you'll come along to a felt workshop and catch the bug.

Saturday February 4th - Felt bags

Time: 10am-4pm Venue: Bradley Village Hall, Lidget Road, Bradley BD20 9DS (get map)

Cost: £38.00

Make a seamless felt handbag with integral; handle and flap. No seams, no sewing. For those who've made a basic bag before we'll add internal and external pockets. Cost includes all materials, use of equipment, tea, coffee and homemade cakes.

Wednesday February 29th - Introduction to needle felting

Time: 10am-4pm Venue: Studio Day in Ilkley, W.Yorkshire

Needle felting is a dry felting process which we'll be using to create a basic 3D figure. It's so much fun to see it come alive in your hands. Please note there are cats at the studio Cost includes all materials, use of equipment, tea, coffee and homemade cakes.

A lovely workshop combining stitch and feltmaking. We'll stitch into fabric before we begin, again at the part way stage and again at the end. Saturday April 21st - Nuno felt scarves

A nuno felting workshop creating stylish items for those balmy summer nights (we wish!) Nuno is the technique of bonding silk chiffon and other materials to wool fibres through the felting process. No stitching involved. Cost includes all materials, use of equipment, tea, coffee and homemade cakes.

Friday May 11th - Low relief and texture

Time: 10am-4pm Venue: Studio Day in Ilkley, W.Yorkshire

Cost: £38.00

A day learning different skills where you'll use pre-felts and cutting techniques to create a piece of low relief felt with added texture. Raising your feltwork to give added depth. Please note there are cats at the studio. Cost includes all materials, use of equipment, tea, coffee and homemade cakes.

Learn and use traditional felt rug making techniques to create a small but perfectly formed contemporary rug for your home. Making a small rug enables us to complete this workshop in one day. Cost includes all materials, use of equipment, tea, coffee and homemade cakes.

Thursday June 14th - Felt jewellery
